There is one question that I want to know. Where the heck is all the marketing for the Nokia 770? There seems to be a few nice websites dedicated to the 770 and plenty of buzz in the mobile community but where is the advertising?

When Nokia released the Ngage they had a huge amount of marketing and we all knew about the device long before it was released. There were ads on T.V. and all over magazines. You couldn't get away from the Ngage. But early on we all knew the device would fail just looking at the games. When the reviews came out everyone hated the device. But Nokia still stands behind the device and hasn't given up. So instead of wasting time on the Ngage they should put some effort in the 770. This is truly a killer device that needs more of a push.

Now the Nokia 770 is very close to being released and we have nothing to show for it. I haven't seen one ad anywhere. Was Nokia's plan to use fan sites to promote the device? If it was then they haven't been supportive to me. I don't see any ads from Nokia on any of the other sites also.

We all know that advertising and hype is good for a product and the 770 needs this bad if it is to survive. Good reviews are also quite helpful.

So where is the marketing?

Good question, Al.

I just picked up a rumor that the release has been delayed. I wonder if these are related -- no advertising because they're not ready to release?

I'd be much happier if there were ads and publicity and devices. But, like Mike said, if it were to come out in November, I'd still be happy that it came out at all.

October is not a long time to wait. Its not like I am gonna magically make a lot of money next week. Heck I would like any money, being a poor college student sucks. Maybe I should put up some google ads.

I guess I should post about the rumors but I am so lazy.

:)
